Band member to represent at IMEA All State Conference

Steven Clark impresses All-District Concert Festival.

Back in October, Steven Clark, a senior at Bloom Trail High School, took an audition for the Illinois Music Educator's Association All District Festival. At this audition, Steven competed against the best players from every school in the IMEA District. The district stretches from the South Suburbs of Chicago all the way up through the Western Suburbs. Based on this audition, Steven was selected to perform on contra-alto clarinet among the top music students in the All-District Concert Festival on November 21st at Lincoln-Way West High School.

After the district festival, Steven's audition score was put among all the students in the state who auditioned. Based on the strength of this score, Steven was selected to perform at the All-State Conference Festival among the best musicians in the entire state of Illinois. The IMEA All State Conference takes place in downtown Peoria from January 28th through the 30th. The Music Department is extremely proud of Steven and this extraordinary accomplishment.
